Alloy of 18ct white gold with palladium A consistent and reliable cast each time Good fluidity and nickel free Gold content is 100% recycled This grain is an alloy of 18ct White Gold with Palladium. 18ct Aa225 Palladium White casting grain is produced using state of the art technology, ensuring your grain provides a consistent and reliable cast each time. Our 18ct Aa225 Palladium white grain has a lower palladium content compared to our NF alloy (ALZ 000) but does offer good fluidity and is nickel free. It has a casting temperature range of 1150-1175°C, 980-1025°C melting range, flask temperature 550-650°C and a density of 15.8g/cm3. Because of its high melting temperature, reaction with investment can cause gas porosity, so use lowest possible flask temperature. This alloy age hardens, so quench quickly from a dull red heat. Avoid quenching from high temperatures as this can cause cracking. Please note; due to the low PD content, this grain will not be as white in colour and will require Rhodium Plating. This product is made using 100% Recycled Gold.
