Original Charcoal Drawing Of A Young Man Dated 1961, Opatjia

Fine, sensitive, original charcoal drawing of the profile of a young man with the inscription Opatjia 11/IV/1961 JUGOSLAVIA. The drawing is on high quality paper with dimensions 29 x 37.5cm which bears signs of folding and staining but with no tears. It is mounted on 47 x 37cm cream card with masking tape (now discoloured). The drawing is unsigned with no Estate or gallery marks visible. No provenance has been established but the style shows similarities with drawings by well-known Austrian painter and illustrator Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel (1881-1965) who is known to have spent vacations in Opatjia. The drawing is supplied unframed.
