Rich yellow gold pre-plating solution 0.5 micron thickness Plates at room temperature 2g gold content per litre Acidic solution Above 95.8% precious metal purity The Heimerle + Meule Pre-gold plating bath VG 204 is used for direct coating of stainless steel as well as for pre-gold plating prior to cyanide gold plating baths or other electrolytes that require a pre-gold layer as an adhesive base. Pre-Gold Plating Bath 204 VG has an excellent stability and a long service life. The deposited gold coatings are ductile, have low porosity and can also be used for a decorative finish. Developed by highly qualified specialists, this solution works perfectly at room temperature (20-30°C). It is very easy to handle, therefore achieving a fast and efficient processing result every time. The solution contains 2g of gold per 1L and will deposit a thin layer of approximately 0.5 micron in rich yellow gold colour. This time saving solution has a high colour stability, even with low gold content and has optimal throwing power. In addition, the layers are deposited in a shine-maintaining manner, minimising clouding. It is important to read the information sheet before use. Following the outlined procedures are essential for optimal results as additional products and processes are needed. Instructions for use: Tank: PPH tanks only Anode: platinised titanium – 998 1509 Bath temperature: 20-30°C (room temperature) Exposition time for 0.5 micron: ca. 3-4 min Voltage: 3-5 V Add 900ml of Deionised water into a thoroughly cleaned tank and heated to 40 °C Stirring continuously, slowly add the Pre-Gold Plating Bath VG 204 The solution must be stirred until the chemicals have been dissolved and have fully merged with the water Please note: This bath contains acids and must not come into contact with cyanides or cyanide-based solutions. The chemical must be stored sealed and has a limited shelf life (approx. 2 years after date of manufacturer). Always check the expiry date displayed on the bottle.
