Cheselden’s Osteographia

Cheselden’s fine atlas of engravings, Osteographia, or the anatomy of the bones, 1733, was published from his house in Bloomsbury and the edition was limited to 300 copies. The Cheselden Project has produced true facsimiles, each 19.75 x 13.25 inches, of nine plates. The facsimiles were made with stringent quality control. The heavy-weight paper has taken the impression well. The individual plates have wide margins and may be conveniently framed. The prints are contained within a carefully constructed, custom-made, Japanese style portfolio covered with dark oxford blue fabric. All materials are archivally sound. The edition is limited to 300 and will not be re-printed. Condition: used, very good.
