1909 Costume Design By Attilio Cornelli For John Simmons. Mr Belcher Played Orlak In “aladdin”

Beautifully framed (modern) watercolour with silver stage costume design. Very reminiscent of the contemporary work by Bakst. Research suggests that the design was by Attilio Cornelli for the pantomime Aladdin”, produced in 1909.. The character “Orlak” (presumably the genii) was played by Mr Belcher. A couple of age rust spots under the glass by the upheld right arm. Frame measures 35cm x 42cm; aperture is 24cm x 30cm
